Speaker 2:

Good morning Periscope. Good morning, Facebook. All right, so I'm alive on, um, Paris called and I'm live on Facebook. Make sure you share this out. I'm going to be giving out some amazing tips today. Good morning. Come on in. Come on. Good morning. Good morning. All right. All right. All right. So today I'm just coming in really quick to give you a few tips. I know it's Monday and I want to give some of you guys, um, some amazing content, some information that will help you, um, implement some things, change some things and start to see results. Okay, so I'm talking about six reasons, six reasons that your business is not growing six reasons that your business is not growing. Let me just introduce myself really quick. My name is Tiffany H. Green hood. I am the CEO of the T a media and productions. And what I do is I teach authors the business of publishing. So you might find me talking about business. It's not always related to authors because they are business owners as well. You are CEOs. So I want you to start getting in that mindset of thinking like a CEO. Okay. So a lot of content I bring is not just for publishing. You can apply this to any book, brand or business. So right now that we got that out the way let's dive in six reasons why your is won't grow. So as I'm giving these reasons, and I have seven of them, I actually had six, but I really have seven, uh, seven reasons that your business won't grow. I'm also giving you solutions. Right? And so I know I'm going to be, um, tapping on some shoulders and stepping on some feet today, but it's all right. It's all right. Okay. So number one is one of the first reasons why your business will not grow is because you refuse to show up. You refuse to show up. Yes. I'm talking to y'all that are afraid to go live. Yes. Stop being afraid to go live. Okay. So here's the thing. You have this service that you offer, you have this amazing brand. Okay. I'm just, I'm looking at the high end of it, right? And you're frustrated because you're not getting sales. You're frustrated because nothing's happening. You have all this stuff on your website asked me how I know you have all this stuff on your website, but people you are not reaching the people that you feel like you need to be reaching. You're not reaching the people that need your business or your service, right. Or your product or your service. And the reason is because you're not showing up, you refuse to go live. Let's talk about that. A lot of you guys don't want to go live because you it's, it's, it's really,

Speaker 3:

Um, things

Speaker 2:

That are dealing with yourself. And it really has nothing to do with the people. That's just keep that real. It has nothing to do with the people it's issues that you have with yourself. You don't like something about your face. You think that they're going to talk about you. They're going to laugh at you and things like that. And even if that's true, guess what? You gotta be comfortable with where you are, right. As you're comfortable with where you are. That, that, that, that deletes out fear. Okay? That the least, our fear, because as the more comfortable you are with yourself, the more you are loving yourself, I ain't even trying to talk about this part, but it's a part of, it's the reason why you don't want to go live. All right? And so your business suffers because you refuse to show up, you need to be showing up. People need to, that's the only way people are going to know who you are and what you do. I talk about this all the time, who you are and what you do. How, how would you not know who I am and what I do if I never showed up on here, because there's only so much you can gauge from a Facebook post. Okay? So just putting that out there. Okay. Stop being afraid to go live. It's okay. Push the button, go live, get comfortable with it. Get comfortable with you. Go talk to yourself in the mirror, but you need to start presenting yourself to the same people that you expect to go and buy your product that you expect to come on live when you go live. Right. But you don't want to show up, right? So you don't build relationships like that. You build relationships by showing up you, you cannot possibly be. And I know I'm probably talking about the, um, the, the catfish thing, but you couldn't possibly be in a real live relationship and you've never seen the person, right? So in order for people to trust you and buy from you, you need to be showing up. So, number one is the reason why first reason why your business ain't growing, because you ain't showing up and you're afraid to go live, stop that. All right. Number two is you put energy into things that appreciate you, instead of putting energy into things that appreciate you, things that are gonna cause you to grow things that are going to cause you to go to the next level, things that are going to cause your business to increase or your, your, your business, your brand, um, your books, some are good. That's the main, main, main, um, pain pain point I get from authors is why am I not selling me books? How can I sell more books? Right? And the main reason why they not selling no books is because they not showing up. And yet they're putting money. Instead of investing time into your brand, maybe you need to redo your book cover. Maybe you need to set some systems up in your business. Are you capturing email addresses? Do you have a landing page? What does it look like? What does your Facebook page look like? How about we start right there? What is your Facebook page look like? Okay. So you cannot expect for this business to take off this book to take off and you haven't done any, any groundwork period. The planes do not leave from the airport without doing the groundwork. Pers y'all know that we'd be sitting, sitting there for a minute before the plane can take off. Okay? Because there's some preparation that needs to be done. I know I'm preaching to some body today. All right. I hope y'all taking notes because these are the reasons that your business ain't growing and you're complaining and you're going around and around in this circle. But yet it's so many things that you have not done will not do. And you're putting energy and money into things that don't matter to you. So I jotted down a couple of things. These are some of the things that, some of y'all that are complaining that you're putting energy into the next person you're going to date. Okay. You're trying to see who queue, who available and who you're going to go out with. Next. First of all is COVID COVID is going on and life is going. Um, so we still got all kinds of garbage out here. Chill. Sometimes you need to work on you first, before you go to try to implement somebody else in your life. Come on, come on. I know, I know I'm stepping on some toes this morning, right? So you worried about the next person you gone die. You worry about what bag you gonna buy next for black Friday, when you really should be looking at what's the next product you're going to launch on black Friday, right? How many clients are you going to connect with on black Friday? Right? We got our priorities messed up. That's what number two is your priorities are jacked up. That is why your business is not growing. Hello? What's the solution to that. Tiffany, the solution is you need to start taking the money that you have and stop spending it on garbage and spend it on something that's going to pay off for you. Good morning, Tony, how you doing some, uh, implement, put your money into something that's going to grow. There's going to build a legacy. What does that mean? That means books. Books will still be selling after you did period. Real estate period. What stocks? Some of y'all all in bags you got in your closet. You could have, you could have some Amazon stock and let's just be honest. I'm starting taking over. Let's just be honest. You need to be trying to get a piece of the pie. Has the Neil thank you all for coming in. Thank you all for coming in. So let's just keep it real period. So you need to be putting your money into something that's going to grow. That's going to make you more money. That's the thing. I even tapped into that. Like I said, Hey, I can sit here and I can talk about this. Cause guess what? I've been there. And I done that and I don't want the ribbon for that. They can have that. No, no, no, no, no, no. And let me just slip this in the people that you have around you, the people that's in your immediate circle, that's yours friend. Yo yo bomb bomb. Your sister, yo, yo your roll dog. A lot of times they ain't talking about it. They don't want to hear about what you're talking about. They don't want to talk about the same stuff you want to talk about. Right? And that's okay. So what you need to do is you need to stop talking to them about that. And what's going to happen is cause as your mindset changes, y'all need to understand as your mindset changes, the people around you change because you start to change and it's not a bad thing. Like be okay with people saying, well you ain't the same no more. I don't want to be the same. I was 10 years ago. Hello? How many y'all can vouch? But you know that you are not the same as you was 10 years ago. I'll be the first one I know. I'm not, I know I'm not. I was totally lost. I tell people all the time, I would have never imagined 20 years ago, I would be doing this. You couldn't pay me to think that even photography, you know you wouldn't what? So it's a good thing. Don't take that as a negative thing. People that's not doing anything and people with negative mindsets, always try to throw that in your face. And basically I'm sorry. Y'all log off of Peristyle and I'm a golden one, Instagram real quick people try to use that against you and make you think that change is a bad thing. I'm here to tell you change is not a bad thing. Change is life change is what will save your life. Okay? Because you look at some of the people I hear people say, um, when they, um, 10 years ago, if they went to jail, they got locked up. Right? And they came out 10 years later, the same people that were sitting on the corner, doing nothing and still there. Right? So nothing changed. It's still the same. They still struggling. They still complaining about struggling. They still broke. They still complaining about being broke. What? So changes is an amazing thing. Embrace. It don't feel bad when people say it, when they come to you, when they say, Oh man, you change. Who used to? You used to do X, Y, Z. Guess what? Saying? Thank you. I appreciate you noticing. Thank you. Yeah. It's just stabbed me to change it. Guess what? I'm going to keep on changing. So then what happens is the people that are not doing anything and the people that are still just they at the day is always an issue. It's always drama. It's always this and that. They start to do that. Yes. And they stay away. Cousin. Now you got your head on straight now. Good morning. Y'all good morning. Good morning. Good morning. I'm talking about six. Well actually seven reasons why your business won't grow seven reasons why your business won't grow, um, on Instagram. Share this. Make sure y'all sharing this out on Facebook. Cause somebody on your timeline needs this information. Somebody needs that tap on the shoulder this morning and guess what? I got it for him. Okay. So when people say that you're changing, be cool with it accepted and keep it moving. Ain't nobody got time for that. Ain't nobody got time to just keep on doing the same thing over and over again. Not going nowhere. Gaddy excuses were about what the president doing, worry about this. And they're not here yet. Okay. I get it. Stay in state. I'm informed. I get that right. But, but don't forget. You have your own goals that you need to be pushing and working on. Cause guess what? I found out. Nobody's gonna do it for you. I found that out. Okay. Moving right along. So number one was the reason why your business won't grow is because you're afraid to show up. You won't go live. You got too many excuses for going live. I'm so tired of it. I am over it. And so you guys that won't go learn, keep not going live. And let me know how that work out for you. Number two is you putting energy into things that depreciate you. We talked about that y'all got to watch the replay if you missed it. All right. Number three is making simple things too difficult. Yeah. Let me tell y'all and she knows that I'm going to talk about this, about one of my clients. Right? She has a talk show. And so she goes into the studio and she does her, um, her episodes and then she posts them later and this and that. Right? Good. I'm Greg. Great, great, great dude. You, but I keep telling her, you need to go live. Why don't you? And she'd be like, Oh, I gotta wait til I get in the studio. So this one, this one is the one where I say you making things too difficult. That are very simple. Okay. This means that I'm not saying don't go to the studio. Still keep your same agenda and system or how you have that. You go into the studio and you record and then you post it. That's all great and dandy. But guess what? While you're waiting. Cause I think she goes into the studio on Mondays. Why are you waiting until Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You could be live. You can punch one button on your phone. How is it that tell me that y'all how is it that y'all had these thousand dollar phones over thousand? Cause I'm hearing that the note 20 is about$2,000. Okay. And we're not using them when I'm making no money from them. We just scrolling, taking pictures, scrolling, looking at what everybody else is doing. But we're not, we ain't doing it. I'm trying to understand. But we it's quick to tell somebody that we a business owner. We quick to tell somebody I've been in business 20 years. Show me some receipts for that. What are you doing right now? What are you doing right now? I'm just, I'm just saying, I'm just saying, Hey, I ain't, I ain't fussing. Y'all I'm giving y'all some truths that you need. Okay. I'm talking about what I know. It's cool to sit around and say, Oh, I got six different businesses. Yeah. You got six different ideas that ain't bringing in a dollar. Hello? That's not cute. Let me just break it down for you. It's not cute. It's not cute at all. You need to sit down and guess what? I also found that you only can grow one thing at a time. You can only grow one thing at a time. Stop trying to be Superman and superwoman. That was me to stop. Trying to be stupid. It's not possible. It's not possible. Only when you sit and you focus on one thing at a time is when you'll start to see growth. But there's some things you gotta do in there. And all of these things I'm talking about is a part of that. Okay? So making things too difficult. So back to this client, right? So she does not want to go live. She only wants to wait till she go in the studio. Y'all and so that's the thing I called that like a lot of the people who are, um, they are like programmed to do traditional things. Okay. So let me just give y'all a heads up. We're not in 1985, no more. We not, we ain't got to try to have$50,000 or a hundred grand to start a business. You can start a business right on your phone, just from pressing the live button. Just from setting up

Speaker 4:

A YouTube channel, just from setting up you an Instagram, Instagram is the bond for businesses, your own. It does bring the bag, asked me how I know. Okay, you can start a business. That's simple. You guys, what are we waiting for? I have things that have been on my list for about 10 years last night. I'm not gonna tell y'all what it is. But last night I sat down and I launched one of them, things that I kept putting off. And I can't even tell you the reason I kept putting it up because really when I think about it, I really had no reason. I really had no reason we use weekly. Let me just, let's just clear the air. We can't keep using money as a reason that we not launching the things that we really want to do. The things that we know that will grow us like a business, like publishing your book, like I'm going to get your real estate license. You know those things. That's going increase. You. Ain't talking about what's the next shopping date. You're going shopping at the mall. Yeah. Let me tell you something. My mind is so focused. Like laser focused on business, that when I go to the mall, can I just really tell, be honest with y'all it don't even do nothing for me. Ilene do nothing for me. No more. I'm not amazed at looking at stuff that I know. I came back right now, period. And more and more of, let me say it like this, regardless of the fact that I came back right now, I don't want it right now because I want something bigger. I would rather, instead of going to buy a$2,000 bag, I would rather go buy me some property on somebody's texts list. How about that? I'd rather go buy me some, some parking lot that nobody wanted and they defaulted on the Texas. Right? I'd rather go back. Something like that. Like my, my views of how I spend my money have totally changed. Like when your mindset change, you, ain't gonna tell him to just go to the mall and be talking about shopping. And you done came home with all these bags. Y'all I was the girl. Let me just explain something to you. I was the girl I'm gonna say. Yeah, about 20 years ago, who was getting the 3000 and$4,000 tax returns. I had two kids. Right? Well, my kids was little, do y'all know every tax retire. What I would do, I would go to the mall and go shopping. Right. I would rent a car for the weekend. Right. And I would get my check and man, she used to come through. Y'all remember when you can go get your taxes done. Especially if you had kids and they would print out your check right there. And so I was going to get the two to three day thing and my check printed out. She was like, Oh, here, go. Y'all check right here. My check printed out. And I will have my check on Friday. Right. And I'm bawling. So I

Speaker 2:

Thought right. And I will get to Monday and all my money was gone volume for the weekend. Say that my money was gone. Ask me why? Because I didn't know. Y'all I didn't know that I could have bought some property with that money. I didn't know that I could have been investing in stocks with that money. Okay. I didn't know. I could have bought, you know, how many mobile homes

Speaker 5:

I'd probably put them off. What do you know?

Speaker 2:

I would have, I could have set myself up 20 years ago. I would have well already been in my millions. Okay. But here's the thing. It's not too late. Y'all it's not too late. So I don't want to get off track, but I had to throw that in there. We make simple things too difficult. So stop making things too difficult. It's very simple. Push the button, go live. Talk about what it is. You're doing set up a page for people to connect with you. Um, what, what else stop acting like you have to go. And some people just make things so difficult. This is not 1985. This is 2020. Things are so available to us. And guess what? 80% of them is free. Social media is free. I think that they don't charge for this. I think that I can log in to all my social media networks. Um, Facebook, Instagram is free. Facebook is free. Twitter is free. Guess what? Y'all you can reach people through podcasts. Some of y'all need to start a podcast that you sitting up me. Some, um, you waiting until you get here.

Speaker 5:

Let me, uh,

Speaker 2:

I probably should have titled this, something else. Life lessons with Tiffany or something. Here's the thing that I don't understand when you talk to people, the, to the people, um,

Speaker 5:

I really need to be doing some stuff. The first thing they tell you is

Speaker 2:

I need to get me together. First.

Speaker 5:

This was part of getting you together, getting you together. If you live in paycheck to paycheck and,

Speaker 2:

And there's nothing wrong with having a nine to five, I am not, I don't believe in quitting your job to start your business. I don't believe in that. I believe in working on that joker and putting up for it and doing little by little while you are still working, because guess what? I understand, I understand that a nine to five is your, um,

Speaker 5:

That's your money? That's your

Speaker 2:

Money? Where when people, you can't, you're not the person that could go to the bank and get a loan to start your business or invest in your business or this and that. Guess what? That's what the money put up part of the money from your nine to five is for, so I don't, I don't believe in just jumping. I'm quitting your job and I'm starting a business,

Speaker 4:

Especially when you haven't done your homework. Ask me how I know. Cause I did that. Okay. Not going to go there, but yeah. Stop making things too difficult and waiting until it's perfect. Right? Stop waiting until the book is perfect. And let me just say this to the office, stop waiting until y'all keep telling me, Oh, I've got to wait until it's finished. Let me tell you, you set your book up for, um, not growing. When you wait until the book is finished to start preparing you don't do that. You don't do that. So just throwing something out there, stop waiting until everything is perfect. Stop. Wait until it's perfect. Because guess what? Sometimes it'll never be perfect. So sometimes you need to just get out there and tippy toe and push that live button afraid. Sometime you need to launch the book afraid sometime you need to launch the business afraid. Okay. And then go from there. Right? But in that, if you are doing your research, you read and you on YouTube. YouTube is everything to me. You guys, anytime I can't figure out something. Even in the middle of stuff that I've been doing for years and I hit this one thing and I'm like, Oh Lord, I don't know nothing about this. Hey, I don't run. I click on YouTube, somebody on their head, the same problem, right. At some point in life and they did a video on it or I Google it. Somebody wrote a blog post about it. What? Don't play with me? Y'all tripping. Stop tripping. It's not, it's not that difficult. Stop tripping. Okay. Stop tripping. All right. So number four. And I'm gonna do a run through all of these for you guys that, um, I know I just, uh, Instagram y'all didn't get everything. So I'm going to do a run through before we finish. Okay. So number four is stop keeping everything private. Hello, stop, keeping everything private. Some of y'all want to launch businesses. Some of y'all wanna start the podcast. Some of y'all want to start the magazine. Come on here, Isaac. And you have your personal pages on Facebook and they're private. Some of y'all got Instagram pages. I'm real. Y'all know. I am a whole advocate for Instagram. I love Instagram and Facebook went away. I'm cool with just Instagram all day long. Okay. So y'all want to launch these businesses. Y'all want it to be big. Y'all want to reach people. And let me just say this. You should be trying to reach people that you don't know. You should be trying to reach people that you don't know. Let me tell you this little thing. Y'all know I got a million, a million examples. All right. Yes I am. Yes, yes, Tanya. So this weekend, one of my author clients, um, flew down to do her photo session here. I was so, so, so happy about that. I have the most amazing photographer here in Dallas, you guys. And so we got everything done. She had two separate shoots. I had, um, an outdoor schedule and an indoor scheduled. And it's just going to be amazing because my thing is, y'all be so focused on the one little thing. You know, you, you you're releasing a book and you're just focused on that one book. You're just supposed to throw on getting, um, these, these, um, book sales and this just everything about that. One little thing. Let me explain something to you. And I'm probably giving away too much. Right? But look, it's not about this one little thing, yo, it's about a brand. It's about building a brand. Even if the brand is you okay. Even if the brand is Tiffany A. Green hood period, even if the brand is, is Isaac K Isaac, he Hayes. Even if the brand is the title, um, the Tonya of the trees, even if the brand is, is, um, right. Bond Shea period, right. You're going to always need some things you're going to always need. You're going to always need photos, period. Hopefully you're doing the right thing with them. I'm gonna get to that too at the end. Okay. Um, but you're gonna always need something. Thanks. So I was so excited cause my, my client came, she took her pictures. Right. And um, I was talking to her husband. He says, um, we'll make sure I was something he asked me. And um, he said, yeah, you know, people know you by your name. You know, make sure her name is such as, Oh, we were talking about, um, he was asking me when we're going to put her picture on the back of the book. Now the cover is already designed. It's been designed for the last three months already. Right. And so we don't have a picture on the back and it's already designed. And he said, we going to put her picture on the back. And I said, I'm not sure I said, because it's already done. And so we will alter the design if we try and add her photo. And his response was, and it was an honest response. And I think a lot of people think like this, so I want to explain this. So, and he said, well, you know, people know you by your name. You know, you gotta make sure you, um, people know you by your name or your picture, this neck. I said, well, the thing is is that this was on site at the shoot. We was standing off to the side while she was getting her pictures done. I said, well, we're not selling to the people she know did y'all catch that. We know to the people she know. He said, well, people mostly know you by your name. We ain't selling to the people that know her. We trying to sell to the people that don't know her. Okay. Y'all got to look at the bigger picture. Stop focusing on everybody. You know, then when you launch these businesses and you launch these books, you mad because your best friend didn't buy your book. Your cousin didn't buy your book, your auntie, they buy your book. They go to everybody's stuff and back all their stuff. And you support that stuff all the time. Every time they have an event at the church and all listen to the da and now you man, cause they ain't buy your stuff. Guess what? No, don't be mad at them. Be mad at you because you bought dish for even assuming that they was going to support it anyway. Right. You bogus for depending on your friends and family to support your business, you did not build the business or press that button and start the business that I'm telling you to start. You're not starting it for the people that you know, you're starting it for the people that you don't know. Okay. It makes my entire day when I go live and then I get an inbox from somebody I don't know from nowhere telling me, thank you so much. Your message was right on time. Dah, dah, dah. I've been going through XYZ or either it's somebody that watches me all the time and I still don't know them. They still a stranger to me, but they know me. I've built a relationship with them because I show up. And so I get the messages that say, Oh thank you so much. You always bring powerful stuff. Dada

Speaker 5:

Does was not the

Speaker 4:

People that know me, inboxing me and telling me this stuff. These are total strangers. Guess what they need? What I have. They want to hear what I have to say. They'll take my information. I had um, um, one of my people that follow me on Periscope to listen to all of my videos and took the information and the tips I was given on there for free. And she published her book.

Speaker 5:

I ain't mad. I ain't mad. She spent no money with me

Speaker 4:

Elated because my content, my information that I wasn't afraid to punch the button and sit on there and talk to total strangers. And most days up to nobody. Cause sometimes ain't nobody on there with you.

Speaker 5:

I wasn't mad.

Speaker 4:

I was in lady and honored that my information was so powerful. You got to know that you hold power. And a lot of y'all had in y'all power, but we ain't going to go there. Okay. But you got to know that you are so powerful

Speaker 5:

That you

Speaker 4:

Can influence total strangers, that you can influence people who don't know you

Speaker 5:

And people who would not have known you had you not went live. She wouldn't have been able to get it

Speaker 4:

Information. And I was, if I was over here scan and look, and I'm gonna be honest with you. This was when, when she was getting my last, this was when I was in Atlanta. Couldn't find a job when I started going live on Periscope. That was my only platform I didn't go on. I really didn't come on Facebook much. Um, definitely one going live on Instagram and Periscope was my thing. And I started off with zero people. I started out many days talking to myself, but I kept looking in that camera and kept saying what it is, the information I wanted to give. And guess what happened to people showed up eventually, that's it stop expecting this overnight miracle. I got so frustrated with live videos and nobody was on there. How long did you do this for? It's not going to happen overnight, right? It's not gonna happen overnight. So all right, John, I am so sorry, but I have to give these different GM's and these experiences, because that's what made the person that you sit in. You're looking at now, period. Okay? So I'm keeping everything. You do private stop getting on Instagram y'all and expecting some impact and expecting these big numbers. And your freaking page is private. I'm not clicking on that up to you to approve me to follow you. I'm not doing it. Period. If you have a business, if you have a brand, if you have a book, it needs to be public. If you are afraid of social media, you shouldn't be on at all period, period. Don't launch nothing new and you're stuck. So private because you were afraid of somebody seeing this and that. No, but no, no. Now what keep you keep your private, private, personal page, private on Facebook. I'm on Facebook and get you a business page. Set up a Facebook business page. Well, I don't know how to do that. 70 will pay me. I set it up for you. What it's meant to be private social media is it's not. I mean, it's meant to be public. Social media is public. You guys public in 1985. Let's be honest. We did not have the opportunity to click one button for free and reach an unlimited amount of people. You know, millions, billions, we don't always reach them, but you get what I'm saying, right? You can reach strangers without being. And then when COVID hit and you guys were forced to have online. Now what a call we would have here. Have you ever imagined what if Colby would have hit and we didn't have no online, nothing. Y'all think some businesses closed. They would have really been able to really, for real, for real, been a depression. Okay. Going on around here because businesses would have flopped period because there would have been no contact. Okay. Now the reason why you want to make sure you got an email, this, all right. So number five, refusing to invest in your business. Again, that goes back to, um, no, this is different. It feels good to invest in your business. There's a lot of free things out here. Okay. But don't be so quick to say you ain't going to pay for them. I know some people did. They won't pay for nothing. If it, if it's not free Dane using it, if it ain't free down, won't it. Right. But then if was giving you a free car, right? And it was some old, generic beat up car. You don't want that car. You want the real nice car, right? But you gotta pay for the real nice car. You gonna pay for it. You pay for it. You don't want the generic bag with the, with the, um, with the V and the L loan. It backwards. You don't want those. You want the real Louis Vuitton. You want to be able to go to the Louis Vuitton store and get the real deal. Right. So get the real deal, pay for the products and services and things that are going to help you run your business adequately. Okay. Stop being cheap. I know I'm stepping on some toes. Good. That was my whole purpose of coming out here. All right. So, um, let me just say this to them. When y'all go laugh, hopefully some of y'all gonna start going live after this laugh. Okay. You know, after you've heard this and the reasons why you need to, hopefully some of y'all come about your shell and go back and really do it and do it consistently. Okay. I'm praying for that. Um, don't think that you have to do what people, what other people think you have to do. So, so for one, first of all, stop, depending on everybody opinion, to run your business, stop, depending on everybody's opinion to run your business, you find you one or two people, a coach, somebody that can take you step by step. Okay? Cause you can't have 10 coaches. You will be messed up confused and you won't get anywhere. All right. So you find you one or two people who you can go under coaching. If they got a membership or whatever, something where you can start learning. Okay. But different people have different ways of doing things. That's why you can't go under so many people. All right. But be careful who you listen to concerning how you need to show up. Okay. How you need to show up. Because they'll tell, I was told by people that knew me, a few people that knew me, Tiffany, you kinda too harsh. Tiffany, you come off, um, kinda mean Tiffany dotted on a dime right in for a second. I listened and I sat and I absorbed it. And when I really thought about it and, and some did all up, guess what I came up with, I had to keep doing what I was doing because that the way I'm coming is me. Okay. And so with me coming, like, I am me, right? Whether it's too aggressive, whether it's this or whether it's back to you. And let me just be honest with you. If they're saying that it's too aggressive, if they're saying that it's too busy and it's too, that a lot of times all that mean is that

Speaker 5:

Audience area, you don't

Speaker 4:

Go change the whole system because one person saying that you shouldn't do X, Y, Z, because that's how they took it. Because that's how they see it. You have to look at the fact that is this my client,

Speaker 5:

Do

Speaker 4:

They even need what I have do I serve them? These be people y'all be listening to that. You don't even serve,

Speaker 5:

Okay?

Speaker 4:

They not your client. They not nothing. But if you got, cause you ain't had them, two, three people that know you tell you, Oh, you doing XYZ. Oh, you sound to me. Oh, you, you have to be this and telling you, you gotta be. And then you start trying to turn it into something else that you're not, then it's no longer authentic. Then guess what? Then you lose everybody. Because the people you were talking to, the people that was showing up and listening to you, the people that was inboxing you telling you, thank you so much for that message. I needed that I'm dealing with XYZ right now. And this was right on time. You bless my life. Your messages are always so powerful. That's the stuff that I was getting in my inbox. So when I get, when I was getting that stuff, the other stuff from the people who are,

Speaker 5:

I knew

Speaker 4:

I had to take it. And like my husband say, you eat you, um, you have to learn how to eat what you want and spit the bones out, eat what works in, spit the bones out or eat what's for you and spit the bones out. So then was bones for me because I was getting results from what I was doing. And I realized that if I changed how I was showing up and trying to turn into something else and be somebody else and all that stuff. Cause it's so hard to be somebody else, Shaw. It's so hard to be something somebody tells you, you should be when really you can just show up and be you. I'm cool with showing them, being me.

Speaker 5:

What?

Speaker 4:

Because for me, I spent so many years, I was not intended to be live this long. You guys. I was spending so many years. I spent so many years of my life afraid to be me because I didn't think it was acceptable. Okay. And some of y'all been through that. That's why you really don't want to go laugh because you want to show up as you and you don't think that's going to be good enough. Let me tell you something. There is a group of people out here, very large group of people that are looking for somebody, just like you with your personality, your look, your everything, how you talk, how you, uh, make mistakes. Why you talking, whatever period we be trying to beat to. Perfect. And what we're trying to be too far. Perfect. We trying to be something that we're not, we're trying to be like somebody else we're trying to do it. Like she did it to do it. Like he did it and that ain't going to work. You got a straight B you, but anyway, y'all know I'll get off. So, um, stop refusing to invest in your business guys. And because I didn't went off into a whole sermon over here and I wasn't trying to do all that, but stop being afraid to invest in your business. There are things that are going to cost and it's okay. It's a tax write-off remember that? Anything that you spend on your business to enhance market, um, uh, systemize. It's all a write-off. Okay. So stop being afraid to invest. It's okay. Um, number six, you are trying to start on a seven figure level. Let me explain that to you. You don't have to, um, worry about starting at the bottom. We've all started at the bottom. The man who owned Amazon started at the bottom at some point y'all he did not start out and it just blew up overnight. That's not how it happened. Not that happens like that. So rest mind, and be at peace with the process. They say, trust the process. You really have to because sometimes the process is, is, um, it's slow. But if you stay consistent and you show up, like some of these things I've been talking about, right? You get the negative people out your circle, right? You lead people where they are, right. They come in. If they want to come, let them hop on later on whatever you got things to do. You got businesses to grow. You have brands to build, right? You have people to meet. I have so many people to meet you. So don't, I don't think there's going to happen overnight. It's not going to happen overnight, but if you never start and you stay scared and you stay behind the camera and you steady keep scrolling. Y'all I had to catch myself many times for spending too much time on social media, scrolling you ain't got the lock. Everybody posts. You can miss some stuff. It's all right. Have to make use of your time. That's another reason why your business ain't growing. This should've really been like 10. Cause I probably didn't mention 15 already. Look, you have to make use of your time. You cannot get it back this time that I'm spending on here, I can't get back. So I have to make it useful. I have to make it worth your while I have to make it, make it to where it's benefiting you to sit on hand. Listen to me. Some of y'all at work. Some of y'all um, on your lunch break, some of y'all, um, at home it's your off day. Your time is valuable. Make sure you spending your time with things that are going to, um, push you, um, inspire you. Okay? Don't just waste your time on the phone. We spent too much time on the phone with folks talking about nothing and ain't got nothing done. Nothing accomplished nothing. I am. So that is a bad day for me. If I look up at six or 7:00 PM and I haven't accomplished anything. Okay. Anyway. So what else? Star where you are. It won't happen overnight. Okay. Number seven. Number seven. Number seven. Why your business won't grow your business. Won't grow because you have no brand. Tiffany, what do you mean by that? You have no brand. So you're trying to build stuff that look like what everybody else is doing. A brand, a brand is going to make you stand out. Look at Starbucks. I don't drink Starbucks, but look at Starbucks, Dunkin donuts. Those are brands, man. Those are brands target. What's the difference between target and Walmart. If you ask me, one is ghetto and one is bougie. I love me some target. Right? I go to Walmart every once in a while. You know, we was, we was in Atlanta. We was at Walmart all the time, every two or three times a week. I was at Walmart because that was what was close to me. But now I'm here at bougie, Texas. I love me some target. It's right by me, but I love it. Right? It's just a big difference. I was sick of going to Walmart with the raggedy cards and this and that. No shade for the people who love Walmart, no shade. It's just my experience. But then I go to target. They carts. Dang. They're still look new. They quiet. They'll make no noise. Right? There's a difference between Brandon. You guys, you have to it's about building relationships. I heard Derrius cook say, um, a while ago, branding is what people are saying when you are not in the room. Okay? What people are saying when you are not in the room it's relationship, how do you make them feel? How does your brand make them feel? Starbucks got a lot of fulfilling, good on their way to work every day. Okay. Target got folks feeling good. Every time they come in there to shop Walmart, got those stolen goods. Every time they go in there to shop, it's all about the brand. You guys building relationships, building the conversation behind closed doors. What are you giving? What, what? It's about relationships. You guys so build a brand. Don't just build a business, build a brand, make sure your name makes sense. Some of y'all just put anything out there. That's another thing that affects your business and won't grow because you just came up with anything. The first thing that came to your head, and again, you can't go asking people that don't know what the hell they talking about. I remember when I was, um, when I was in, um, Illinois, I was working for the state and I was working on my very first book, which I never put out my, um, my life story. And so I was a very, um, baby and writing and a baby. And like, I ain't know nothing about being sustained or anything. Brandon, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing. So I w I had not about four or five people read my first chapter and I was dependent on their feedback. And their feedback was, don't tell too many, um, details. Then somebody else said, yeah, you want to give a lot of detail and this and that. And what happened at the end of that, I was talking to the wrong people because number one, these wasn't even people that read books, these wasn't people that was business-minded okay. You, you, you gotta be strategic and be business. Okay. If you're going to go to somebody, if you're going to have, if you're going to have the advisors or mentors, make sure they know what they talking about. Okay. Make sure they had a fruit to show they've accomplished this before. It didn't, you don't have nothing to do with how much money they making, make sure they have the, the, um, the meat, the meat that you need. So you ain't got to throw too many bones away. Okay. So, um, I ended up confused because I was talking to the wrong people and too many people and not even the right people. Let me say that again, too many people that didn't know nothing about business. Um, they did not have a business mindset. They wasn't doing nothing with no business and they life. And I'll be talking to them about my book. I should have been talking to somebody who had was either an advocate reader, like, you know, a regular reader. You know, they have people that review books all the time that you can get online and pay to review your book. And they'll give you a real review about it. You know, they have proofreaders. They have all kinds of people out here that do this stuff for real. And we just be looking at the person sitting next to us, who ain't doing a dang on thing, what they life. And we're going to ask their opinion about what we need to do, what ours, not business y'all or your personal life. Anyway. All right. Six reasons, seven reasons why your beers won't grow. Number one, you are afraid to show up and you won't go live. We talked about that. Number two, put energy into things that you keep putting energy into things that appreciate you. You keep spending money on bags, new cars, um, stuff. That's not going to even be there for you in the long run. You need to be thinking about things like real estate, stock buying some mobile homes, um, Airbnb, in some properties, you need to be putting some stuff up. That's going to be man. Got you. Sit nice for the rest of your life. Those are the things you need to be putting your money into period with your name on it. Okay? Now I'm going to go into that again. If you missed it, you got to watch the replay, making simple things, too difficult. Stop making it so difficult. You don't have to be in a fancy studio to go live right and build a YouTube channel or a run your talk show. You could be on Facebook, right on Facebook, interviewing people every week. You ain't got to be in no fancy studio. What people make things too difficult. And it's very simple. Stop waiting until it's perfect. I wait until the book is perfect and the business is perfect and your life is perfect. That's the thing we want to make time. Like we want to wait until I like is perfect to launch this or start this and this and that. And then, and once we launch it, we don't even know what to do with it. Cause we ain't did no work. We've been too busy buying bags and talking to people, just get these broken mindsets and watching these crazy reality shows. And we ain't got no type of thing. The substance in our life. All right. Um, number three, wait a minute. What that was, number three, number four is keeping everything you do. Private stop having all these private Facebook pages and private Instagram pages and, uh, expecting did somebody go to you expecting yourself to grow from a private account? I'm not clicking on a private account period. If you ain't got it public, you must don't want me to know about it. That's all I'm gonna say about that. Number five, refusing to invest in your business and stop thinking. Everything is going to be free. It's a lot of free resources out here, even afraid when you're not even using, okay. Start thinking as an investor. Okay. It's several services. I invest to help my business do what it does. Okay. And I pay that either monthly or yearly. All right. It's a tax write off at the end of the day. Um, number six, you want to try and to start on the six figure level and you haven't even reached back, Hey, you want your book and Walmart and target and all this stuff inside the store. I ain't talking about online. You want your book on the shelf, inside the store and you ain't even sold no books in your own city. Get out of here, get out of here. Because if you, even, if you was to get inside the store, if your books ain't selling, they taking it right back down, come on, man. You better catch this. Build a brand, build a better audience, reach to people that you got access to. They want to hear what you're saying instead of trying to just go, Oh, big, overnight. No, that's the wrong mindset. That's the wrong thought process. You need to start where you at start right in the city where you act and have some events and some book signings or some, uh, business, whatever it is that you doing, Hey, get, get some round tables going right there. As people in your city, right there. You can connect with what? Stop trying to go to UK. And you can't even afford to fly to California to sit at a, at a$5,000 conference. I'm just saying, all right. Um, number seven, the reason why your business is not growing because you don't have a brand, you must have a brand and it must make sense. It must make sense. Okay. So that is it. You guys, if you want to connect with me, I will put my link in the, um, in the comments on Facebook, Instagram, you know how to reach me. You can either DM me or hit the link in my bio. Um, B I T dot L Y book. Tiffany. Now I'll put that in the link. Thank you guys for coming in on Facebook. Y'all showed up. I pray. I hope I helped somebody that you take these tips and these were some for real, for real life business, brand, everything tips today and implement them into your projects, your books, whatever it is you are trying to do grow launch. You should have plans for black Friday. Um, like I said, um, um, I can get on and talk about this stuff. Y'all because I live it. I have lived it. I have done it. I have been there, all that, um, something I've been talking about for 10 years, I sat down and I'm working on the lunch now. Okay. So I'm expecting you to go and do the same thing, right? Get them private things off of these social media pages. Jen have no, no private social media, but if you're going to have a private, then have your Facebook personal page, private, but you need to start a business page. But in order for that to grow, do y'all know how hard it is to grow a Facebook business page from scratch. It's very hard. Okay. And, um, you gotta stop being scared. I think a lot of y'all just want y'all pages practice. Cause you skate. You just, you scared you, you just want to stay. And if you like that, that's cool. But don't be trying to start no Homeland business. Cause you gotta be public. You have to be public and people will not know who you are. If they don't know you exist. And a lot of y'all, we don't even know you exist because you're hiding. You've been hiding and you stay hiding and stay like that because we not looking for the people. Had we looking for the people that's out there. I love it. When I see a business owner I'm going live for the first time. Be okay with being on that, talking to yourself, even if it's for the first six months that you own that talk on to yourself, be okay with it period. And in, and Instagram and Twitter and LinkedIn, they have things that where you can promote your posts, but for the people that don't want to invest, they see the people that want everything for free. They ain't going to run no ads because they don't want to pay. But you will go out here and pay for a bag that ain't gonna do nothing, but sit in your closet that bad can go make no money for you. Okay. So, um, and like I be telling people, Hey, if you want to sit up and smoke weed all day, no shade, whatever salad, Hey, you can get a license. Now you can sell hemp and all that stuff and package that joker up and sell it, turn it into a brand, man. You gotta think business. You have to think legacy. You have to think, go and build what it is that you like to do. What are you passionate about? If you like bags, then start your own business. And some of them, I like lashes. I should have my own lash line. Right? What if you like talking about things, uh, uh, uh, your, your fitness thing are you got it together? Do you need to be Southern products? That's it I'm gone. Y'all so I can get some work done. Y'all have a blessed day connect, connect, connect. See y'all later.
