Speaker 2:Hello, you have reached. Published in Black Radio with Tiffany A Greenhood. I am your host today. It's good to be back and today we're going to dig right in right. So let me just remind you, this is the show that is going to get you right, get you straight when it comes to self-publishing your book, okay. When it comes to keeping all your royalties. When it comes to different creative ways that you can sell your book, promote your book, market your book, everything books, okay. No author left behind, okay.
Speaker 2:So today I'm going to dive right in and we will be discussing anthologies. How about that? We will be talking about anthologies. Today. We're going to talk about how to make 50 to 100k with your book without writing a word. Yes, I said it. I know it sounds crazy, I know you probably never heard this before, but guess what? That's why I'm here. I'm here to teach you all the stuff you never heard before, you never thought of, you never thought you could do. You thought you needed this, this and that to do. You thought you needed a bunch of money to do Absolutely not. So I'm here to give you the real deal.
Speaker 2:So what is an anthology? So an anthology is when you publish a book but you invite co authors, what we call we call co-authors, which is other people. Okay, so, for those who have communities, yes, this would definitely be assigned to pastors, leaders, evangelists, like whatever title. If you are in a position of leadership, this is definitely the marketing tool for you that works when it comes to your book. Ok, so what is an anthology? An anthology is when you invite co-authors to come and publish with you. You can do that, you absolutely can, but here's the key that nobody tell you you can charge them what really, yes, really, you can charge them to write a chapter in your book. Why would you do that? So many reasons why I'm so glad you asked why would you do that? Number one let's talk about some of the benefits of an anthology. Okay, so, when you invite co-authors into your book, right, so this means that you create the title. You are still the author, even though you are inviting co-authors in with you. It's so many amazing benefits to this.
Speaker 2:This one of my favorite topics, if you can't already tell, I love talking about anthologies because it's so profitable. Number one it's profitable and it opens up so many doors as far as even building your community, building a team. You know, it gives you an instant writing team. It gives you an instant marketing team. You become an instant publisher, you know, if you've never published anyone else. Well, guess what If you have 25, 30 people in one book? Guess what? Now you can use that and promote yourself and market yourself. Yes, I have published 30 authors. What? Yes, when they write a chapter in your book. Yes, you can, you can. It's so many different creative ways to market that. So, yeah, yeah, so that's what an anthology is.
Speaker 2:An anthology is and you may hear people say a book collaboration or something like that, but the, the terminology that I use is anthology and it's been around for years. Okay, I just I think that our community just got wind of it, maybe some in the recent years, and so we are taking that thing and running with it. So, um, so with your anthology, you can invite co-authors in to publish with you. You will be charging them a fee if you want to do one and and have it at no cost. You can absolutely do that.
Speaker 2:What theme would you use? Your theme is going to be what the book is about. Like what? What would their chapters have to be focused on? So it's so many, oh my God, so okay.
Speaker 2:So you have cancer survivors. I mean you can just take that and just blow it all up, right, you can do cancer. You can do a thing how I made it through. Who doesn't have a story? You tell me who is living and breathing, no matter what nationality, what culture, does not have a story that they made it through, how I made it through. That's a theme right there. So you, I mean it don't even have to be something really, really deep. You don't have to overthink this. You don't have to like, like, dig too deep. It's simple. Just take simple things that you just just just that you yourself have been through, or people that are connected to you, people who are around you who have been through certain things. Everyone has been through things.
Speaker 2:And let me tell you something the reason why I love another reason why because there's so many reasons why I love publishing so much is because it gives you the opportunity to release your story and the power in releasing your story, whether it's in an anthology, whether it's your own anthology or whether you are writing your own book. It's therapy. Let's just sit that right there for a minute. It's therapy when you hold in what you have been through. Number one you're stopping other people from being blessed from your story and what you've been through. Let me say that again when you hold it in, you are stopping other people from being blessed from your story and what you accomplished and what you made it through, because you didn't just make it through for no reason, that's. You know what I'm saying. Let's remember that. So, yeah, so that is what anthology is, so you can absolutely publish your own anthology. I encourage you to not leave this earth without publishing your own anthology. Period.
Speaker 2:Anthologies are, I'm going to say, across social media. I see them all the time, probably because I'm in that space, but it's still not so popular. But when I tell you, it opens up so many doors which and it's good that it's not so popular, because that gives you now the opportunity to put together your plan and publish your own anthology. So, like I said, it's perfect for anyone who is in a leadership position. Why, tiffany? The reason I say that is because you already have an audience. You already have an audience, you already have the people. So let's just say so. This has been, this has been on me for like the last, I'm gonna say, eight months. I've been real heavy on this and I'm opening up a whole new sector for pastors leaders, uh, whatever your title is but if you are in ministry, specifically pastors, and you have a congregation, you have a church and you have members and you already have a book, it's perfect.
Speaker 2:And I'm going to ask you this question you published a book about your story, right? So that was about you. That's great. But I want to ask you, why haven't you invited your members to publish with you? And let's just be, let's keep it real. People be crazy about their pastors, we crazy about our pastors. Okay and so.
Speaker 2:But here's the thing when a pastor, a leader, a minister whatever your title is bishop, evangelist, whatever it is when you open up an opportunity for your members, your community, to publish with you, do you know what that's saying? That's even more powerful than you publishing your own book, because not only are you giving them the ability to publish with you, but let's just be honest, most people, most individuals who have been through things, are not going to write their own book. We'll sit there, right there. They're not. They're not, for some reason when it comes to writing a book. I mean, it's a lot of things in life that we do that. You know it takes a lot out of you and it's something especially when you're writing about your own life. It's a lot, it's very emotional, it's healing. It's a whole lot of different emotions you go through. So I get it. It's not always an easy task, it's very challenging, but it's so worth it and it's so powerful.
Speaker 2:But when you are, when you invite your co-authors to publish with you, you are inviting them to release their story without having to publish their entire book. What, come on now? Come on, you can't tell me that that's not powerful. So this gives them opportunity for a fee. We talking about the fee Because we going to get to the money Because y'all know I'm not going to come on here and I'm not going to teach you something and not show you how to get to the money. Okay, because they're. Come on, let's keep it real. God didn't call us to be struggling. He did not call us to financially struggle. So any topic that I talk about is definitely going to end with how we get to the money. Okay, so let's talk about that.
Speaker 2:So when you bring them in to publish with you, one of the greatest benefits is that they get to release their story in one chapter, right? So normally your limit is about cause you always want to give them a limit, because our stories it will turn into a whole book, but they don't even need to write that much. There's an outline that you can use and it makes it very simple to write. Some people have never written about their own experiences about their own experiences, you know. So you give them an opportunity to be a part of your project, but you also and one of the benefits of them writing in your book.
Speaker 2:Guess what you're going to do? So your fee is going to be a thousand dollars. Come on, let's talk about it, cause I know you want to hear about this money part, right? So how do you make this prosperous, right? So, tiffany, who going to buy? I always hear authors say, tiffany, who gonna buy my book? Well, who gone bad? Though ain't nobody gone bad. Change that mindset. First of all, they're not gonna bad because you're thinking like that. So your mindset needs to be everybody gonna buy this book. This book gonna be powerful, it's gonna sell and and we gonna have a good old time celebrating, right?
Speaker 2:So you're going to charge each co-author $1,000. That's going to cover them writing in your book. That's going to cover all the production and everything else y'all got going on for this book, because we're going to do press releases, we're going to do all types of stuff. Yeah, we get to the nitty gritty. This is called real marketing. And so you charge them $1,000 a piece.
Speaker 2:Right, let's say you got 25 people. 25 people say, yes, I'm ready to write my story. You charge each co-author these are co-authors, this is the technical word for them right, you charge each one of them $1,000. That's $25,000. What? The book ain't printed yet. It ain't written yet. What, wait, wait, wait, wait. Tiff, you saying I just created my own advance. Absolutely, don't play with me. If you got 50 people, that's 50K, but let's just stick with the 25. Okay, I don't want to. You know, I don't want you to get too deep in this and feel like it's a little too much. I don't want you to be stressed out thinking about it. Okay, cause it's powerful. So, a thousand people, I mean, I'm sorry, a thousand dollars for 25 coauthors.
Speaker 2:Okay, then let's say we do this four times a year. Let's say we do this four times a year. So, wait, 25,000, quarter, one, quarter, two, quarter three. Now we have published four books. Remember, I told you you don't have to think deep for a thing. Okay, you got.
Speaker 2:How did I make it through? Um cancer survivors, um called. Make it through Cancer survivors Called by God. Who ain't called? You know what I'm saying? So it's so many different themes that you can use, but you publish this book four times. You have a different theme for each book. You publish four times in one year. Okay, that is what? 75? No, that's a hundred K, right there. Quarter one, quarter two is 50 K. Quarter three, quarter four is 50 K, 50 K and 50 K equals what? A hundred K you mean? You done made a hundred K from publishing your books, no-transcript. Okay, that's powerful and that's what we have been called to do. Okay, that's your storehouse right there up front. So we're going to take a break. I know this is a whole lot of information, so I'm going to go ahead and give you a break and I'm going to play this amazing song and we'll be right back.
Speaker 3:What is this that I feel deep inside?
Speaker 3:And it keeps setting my soul on fire, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, it won't let me Hold my peace.
Speaker 3:What is this Makes folks say I'm mad and strange, makes me want to run on in Jesus' name, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, it won't let me Hold my feet. I said it makes me Love all my enemies and it makes me Love my friends. And it won't Make me feel ashamed, feel ashamed To tell the world that I've been born again. Oh, what is this Makes me do right when I would do wrong? What is this? When I'm down low, he gives me so, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, you won't let me Hold my peace. Hold my peace, oh Lord. I said it makes me Love all my enemies. Yes, it does, and I know it makes me love all my enemies. Yes, it does. And it makes me love my friends, and it won't let me be ashamed. Let me be ashamed, tell the world I've been born again. What is this? My longing makes me do right when I'm with the wrong Lord, when I'm down low, he gives me a song.
Speaker 3:Whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, it won't let me Hold my peace. No, no, this feeling I have Deep down inside of me. Whatever it is, it won't get me, I just can't hold my peace. No, no, no. Whatever it be, I'm so glad I could be. I'm gonna shout about it. Whatever it be, whatever it is, it won't let me. I just can't Hold hold my peace. No, no, no. Whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it is, it won't let me Hold, hold, hold, hold. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, I want a shot of that. I'm so mad about it. Whatever it is, it won't hurt me. I just can't Hold my peace.
Speaker 2:Okay, we are back. So how many of y'all remember that song? Let's talk about that for a minute. How many of y'all remember that? I love y'all. I love the 80s old school gospel. There is nothing like it. So, with that being said, I hope that song gave you some time to chat in your own head about how long you've been waiting to publish your book, to publish your message, to gather your people together and get the people around you to publish, because that's what we're talking about today.
Speaker 2:We are talking about anthologies. Okay, so with an anthology, it's just not you by yourself. You're the visionary Right, and you're the visionary right and and you're the one that that come up with the theme and all that, but your people, your community, your co-authors is what is going to create the content, and so that's why I titled this how to make 50 to 100k without writing a word, because you don't have to write anything if you don't want to um, when you are um, publishing an anthology and I encourage every author to publish your own anthology it's okay to be a part of them, but I like teaching the co-authors and people who you know, just not familiar with it, how to publish your own anthology. So let's dig back in. So we were at the a hundred K. Y'all just showed y'all how to make a hundred K from your book before you write it, before you publish it, before you print it right, how to get your, your cash advance up front. But I showed you how to get a six figure cash advance. This is why I say don't be signing them contracts. Y'all, we talked about that last week. Don't be signing no contracts, okay, because this is one creative strategy that you can use to create your own six figure advance. That's cash, cash. Okay.
Speaker 2:And so, anywho, some other things I want to point out. You know. So, like I said, the benefits of you publishing and I always reference pastors, pastors, leaders, ministers you know, come on, everybody's talking about, have been talking about for years, about writing a book, but you never see it. You never. You know what I'm saying. It's just something to say we not doing that. We are not just talking about what we going to do 2025. I said that last week 2025 is the year that you need to go ahead and do that, get it done. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2:So I want to point out a couple of things. So your instant, your co-authors is your instant writing team. Your co-authors are your instant marketing team. Right, this is your team. You don't got to do everything by yourself. So you have a team of people that are helping you write this book. Okay, they're going to help you sell it. All of that, everybody's going to help you sell it. All of that, everybody's going to benefit because you also going to give them a license to purchase copies from you at a wholesale rate and resell their own copies and profit. Yes, absolutely so. It's so many different ways and, um, I'm going to let you know how you can start to work on your own. Of course I have a blueprint. Of course I do. Okay, but I want to just give you this one little tip.
Speaker 2:Do you all remember the movie the Help? Y'all remember that movie? If not, go look it up, go Google it. Well, it's one of my favorite movies, right? And it was about how all the maids in the South got together and the one lady wanted to do a book. Do y'all realize I didn't realize it till last year that was an anthology, that was an anthology. Go look the movie up. If you ain't seen the movie, you wrong. Go look the movie up, watch the movie that was an anthology that lady put together with all the maids. They came together and told their own story and all the dirt that they was having, right.
Speaker 2:So I just want to mention that because anthologies are more popular than you know and very beneficial and absolutely create that wealth that you around here looking for is writing your story, okay. So I want to talk about the benefits that you can offer. You create opportunities for increase. You're creating authors and publishers right, first time authors and when they publish their own story they are actually become a publisher, creating another income stream and product. And you're giving others an opportunity to publish and write with you. Like why not?
Speaker 2:Okay, so if you want to know how to publish and get started with planning out your own anthology, okay, you can either contact me to assist you with that. Of course, I offer the service, right. But if you kind of like the do it yourself person and you want to kind of tackle this and dig in, you can absolutely do that and I have created a blueprint to help you do that. You can download my anthology blueprint is one of a kind I have not seen anyone else who has created an anthology blueprint. You can download it upon request. Okay, that means when you pay, it's coming straight to your email. Okay, you can go to anthology blueprintcom. That's anthology blueprintcom. I'm going to give it to you one more time Anthology blueprintcom. Right there you can download my anthology blueprint. It gives you all the steps, all the strategies. My 50K blueprint is in there you have. It shows you how to choose the best theme, how to recruit your coauthors, all that great stuff, and you will be on your way to creating your own 100K advance.
Speaker 2:Okay, yeah, so I don't want you to sleep on this opportunity. I want you to absolutely start thinking about what kind of anthology can I publish, especially if you're a pastor? Come on now. Pastors, leaders, evangelists, all these other titles we got now, bishops and archbishops, all of that. There's no way you have all these members and you have not invited them to publish and write with you. That is the ultimate honor. They would love to write with you.
Speaker 2:Okay, a thousand dollars. Now you can charge whatever you want. Some people do anthologies. I've seen them charge $3,000, $2,500. A thousand, that's like a dollar y'all. Let's just be real. And and you're providing, you know, and of course, you're going to hire a publisher. You're going to hire a publisher to do all your production for you and all that. So we're not saying you have to, you know, do all this work. But, yes, go to anthologyblueprintcom and download your blueprint today and get started with you planning your own anthology. Okay, we're gonna get to these six figures. This is what God called us to. He called us to wealth and prosperity, and I'm gonna show you how to get to it. We're gonna go to break real quick.
Speaker 3:Thank you.
Speaker 2:What I want to remind you of is that it's not hard to create the wealth that you are called to. Ok, your life is defined by purpose. There's a reason why you survived your story. There's a reason why you're still here. Take this time to start planning out your book, your story and your chapter. See you guys next week.
Speaker 1:You have been listening to, published in Black with publishing expert and brand strategist, tiffany A Greenhood. Listen next week for real talk, powerful strategies and much more. Again, we thank you for listening.
