Let’s Chat-Promo, Anthology + The Power of Your Words (Rejoice 102.3)
Feel free to leave us a review 🙂
Words have power—not just for readers, but for authors themselves. In this eye-opening episode of Publishing Black Radio Show, host Tiffany A Greenhood reveals how authors unknowingly sabotage their success through negative self-talk while missing lucrative opportunities hiding in plain sight.
"Stop talking about what you cannot do, because where there's a will, there's a way," Tiffany challenges listeners as she unpacks her proven anthology formula that can generate $100,000 annually without writing every word yourself. By gathering 25 co-authors who each contribute $1,000, publishing quarterly creates a sustainable six-figure business model that transforms both your income and your co-authors' careers. More than just a financial strategy, this approach builds an instant marketing team invested in the book's success.
Tiffany doesn't just address the business mechanics—she dives deep into the mindset transformation required for author success. Sharing powerful author decrees like "I am anointed to write, speak and build" and "My voice is valuable, visible and victorious," she demonstrates how changing your words literally changes your results. The passionate discussion tackles how many authors fail to recognize their books as products designed to generate income, instead letting them collect dust while complaining about lack of sales.
The announcement of the groundbreaking Publishing Black Chamber of Commerce—the first-ever chamber dedicated specifically to self-published Black authors—signals a new era of support for authors seeking to professionalize their publishing businesses. This national resource will provide tools for running the business side of authorship, not just writing advice.

Hello, we are back today for Publishing Black Radio Show. I am your host, tiffany A Greenhood, so I have so much to unpack today in this 30 minute show. Okay, so first I want to thank you guys for listening and I'm fairly new to the Rejoice 102 family and I love being here. So again, this is Publishing Black black radio show and so I'm gonna jump it off with um some promo today, because you know what I was so into our last show if you were with us last Tuesday at 12 noon, it was just when I come on. I talked about anthologies. That's my favorite topic and I think I got just a little bit carried away. So I'm going to do a part two today on anthologies. But first I want to kind of introduce myself again and give you guys some information about who I am, what I do, why I do it and how to work with me, because some of you all who have been listening you may have a book. You may not know what to do with it. It may have been sitting and all that good stuff. So I want to get started with.
Speaker 1:I am once again Tiffany A Greenhood. I am a publisher, coach, brand strategist and all around smart girl. I just I've been calling myself smart girl like the last six months because I'm extremely smart and resourceful, but my main, main thing is publishing, self publishing. So I show you how to take your book, your story, your message and turn it into six figures or more. But you got to be willing to do the work, so I want to talk about that. So that's what I do.
Speaker 1:I have a magazine, publishing black magazine dot com. You can feel free to go to the website. I use that magazine to market black authors. It is so many black authors out here who we don't know of. We have not, you know, we don't know anything about their book. You know, one thing I see that our community lacks is how to market your book, how to market your message, and so that's what I'm here to do. And so we have Publishing Black Magazine. We have now the Publishing Black Radio Show.
Speaker 1:I also have a podcast. How do you access that? Go to publishinblackpodcastcom. So if you are to miss any of my Tuesday shows live at the station, you can always click on publishwithtiffanycom. Everything about me is there. So there's a link for the podcast. There's a link for the magazine.
Speaker 1:There is a if you would like to work with me specifically for your project. You can go to publishwithtiffanycom and click on discovery call. You can book a discovery call with me. Now I'm gonna tell you I offer two different options for discovery calls. One is to find out pricing and services. Okay, because sometimes people want something a little customized and I do put together customized packages and then you may just want a strategy call then. So then you would then book the um exclusive discovery call with me. That's where you come with your pen, your notebook and your questions. Ask me anything. That's your time to ask me anything. So I offer a couple different um options. And then don't forget to this, you know, scroll down when you go to the publish with tiffanycom. I have several digital products there that can help you with your business marketing strategies, just different blueprints that I put together to help you in your journey.
Speaker 1:Okay, because, let's just be honest, we were not most of us were not educated on how to market our businesses, how to market our books, how to market our businesses, how to market our books, how to market our message, how to just market us. Okay, we were taught to purchase and be the be the shopper, but we were not taught to position ourselves as the business. So that's kind of what I take care of, and I don't just work with authors If you have a business and you want to start making money of, and I don't just work with authors if you have a business and you want to start making money online and you don't know how I handle that as well. Okay, so I just wanted to do a little housekeeping and tell you guys a little bit about what I have going on. I am also launching I'll be officially announcing it in June, but I am launching my own chamber of commerce. Yeah, I know it sounds really off the wall, because it is. I'm launching my own chamber of commerce. It's going to be published in Black Chamber of Commerce, and so, for those who are familiar with what a chamber of commerce does, most cities have them, ok, but this one will be for black self-published authors, and so I am so excited about this because it's never been done. It's never been done before, but guess what? I was born to do it, so stay tuned for more information on that. Yeah, it's already been officially launched. I have not announced it. This is like my first time announcing it publicly, but stay tuned for that I am finishing up the website, and so it's going to be awesome, y'all, because I feel like black authors need a place to come to not just show me how to sell my book, sell my book but to actually give you the tools that you need to run the business, to market yourself professionally. So that's, you know, chamber of Commerce. Most of them are created for businesses, their local businesses. So I'm not going to be local because it's going to be national. So you can live in any state, any city, as long as you got a book and you want to learn how to sell it, that will be for you. So stay tuned for that.
Speaker 1:So now we're going to hop right in over to the anthology part two. So if you missed last week's episode, feel free to go to publishingblackpodcastcom and you can listen to the entire episode last week where we started talking about anthologies. How to what did I title that? How to make 50 to 100K with your book without writing a word. That was my title last week. Okay, so if you missed that, you want to go back and listen to that. But we're going to do a part two because I didn't.
Speaker 1:It was so much information and, like I said, this is my favorite topic, so I want to just chime in on a couple of things you know. So I showed you guys how to take one book, publish a book each quarter OK, and it's perfect for pastors, churches, leaders, evangelists, whatever your title is you can do this and if you especially if you already have a community okay. So you're going to take um one book and publish it. You're going to publish a book for each quarter of the year. All you need is 25 people. You charge a thousand dollars for them to be a part of your anthology. Come up with an amazing theme adult cover and go for go for it. $1,000 with 25,000 people gives you what 25. I mean with 25 people gives you $25,000. That's 50 K, and 50 K that equals the 100 K. So that goes back to what my title is. Yes, I just showed you how to make a hundred K without writing a word, because that is going to be your instant marketing team, your instant writing team, all that good stuff. So that's what we talked about last week. But I want to go over some of the benefits that you can offer your co authors if you are looking to put together an anthology. So we got, creating opportunities for increase.
Speaker 1:Okay, you are creating authors, published authors and publishers. An author is not just an author. When they write their own story, you know you can write your chapter in a notebook, right, you are an author. That copyright belongs to you, even if it's on a notebook or a napkin or paper towel, okay. But once you become a published author, that's when you go public, that's when you know you official, you official, official, for real. Okay, anytime you publish a book and you make it available to the public, that is officially being published. It has nothing to do with Amazon.
Speaker 1:I know y'all didn't know that, but I'm again, I'm here to set the record straight, okay, so, um, um, also, you are. So you're not just creating authors and publishers, you're creating another income stream and a product. Let's be clear a book period, it's a product. It's a product. So, for those of y'all that have books and they sitting around, or you publish it and you put it to the side because you figured what? Nobody buying books, no more. Shame on you, shame on you.
Speaker 1:Okay, because, um, a book is an entire product and it is made to sell. It's made to create income. So we're not going to continue to publish books and then sit it on the shelf, let it collect us and talk about how nobody's spending money with us. They're not spending money because you're not presenting it, okay, so let me leave you with that. They're not spending money because you're not presenting it. You have no commercials, and I don't mean spending money, I mean you're not online. Social media is free, okay, so we have to Condition our mindset to sell, and I'm going to leave you with that and we're going to go to break Lord.
Speaker 2:I need to feel the touch of your hand, your will for my life. I want to understand, lord, forgive me like only you can, for you're the God of a second chance. Lord, I'm tired of the way that I am. If you love, I want to live, stand To heed to your every command, for you're the God of all sacrifices, for you're the God of second. Just so be All of my wrongs, all of my wrongs, forgive me. Forgive me. Forgive me and make me strong. And make me strong. Oh, save me. Save me, lord, restore my soul. For you, the God of a second chance, you are the God of a second chance. You are the God of a second chance. Show me, show me everything. I'm gonna run, then I'll pull my shirt off. Bless me, forgive me, take me back, oh Lord. Oh, save me, restore the joy, for you are the God of our salvation.
Speaker 2:You gave me A second chance. You gave me God I thank you for it A second chance. You forgave me. You forgave me. I told you you could. Nobody can love me like you love me. You gave me A thing gone for a second time. A second time, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. I didn't even deserve it all. You kept on loving me, keep on forgiving me. You gave me love, oh Lord. You took me to the second time. You gave me up. You gave me up. Second chance, second chance. You gave me up. You gave me up, you purged me up. That's all that you gave.
Speaker 1:You gave me up. Okay, we are back. Don't y'all love that old school gospel music? I love it, I absolutely love it. So let's talk about it.
Speaker 1:Second chance God gives second chances. He gives second chances all the time. And guess what? If you are here listening to me, he giving you a second chance to go ahead and start selling that book. Okay, so go ahead and publish that book, to go ahead and start writing a book.
Speaker 1:So let me clarify something I do not help you write your book. I don't do that. I focus on self publishing your book. I show you what to do with the book once it's done. Okay, because that's what everybody gets stuck in. Okay, because we didn't know, and I get it, I get it. I understand starting and not knowing what you're doing. I understand, I understand doing it, doing it scared, I get all that. But so you know me now. Okay, so what you need to do is you need to start and stop talking about starting. But start. Okay, grab a notebook, start, grab your laptop and start.
Speaker 1:We spend too much time on our phones and our devices and we're not making any money. Yes, I said it, we're not making any money. Yes, I said it, we're not making no money, we're not being productive, and then we complain at the end of the week or the end of the month or the end of the year Dang, I didn't get to do this, or dang, I didn't get to do that, or I can't afford this. Stop talking about what you cannot do, because where there's a will, there's a way, especially with ai. Now that's another topic. I am gonna do a show on that topic, but, yeah, I just want you to focus right now this show. Second chance to get it right. All right.
Speaker 1:So we talked about the um, your anthology. So if you're interested in putting together an anthology, I didn't talk about it. I I gave you guys some details. I gave you the 50k or the 100k blueprint. If you missed last week's episode, go to publishandblackpodcastcom to listen to last week's episode. Okay, so I want to hop right in and talk about something that I created, because you know what being in the author space, in the publishing space, since 2007. Now, I didn't start my publishing company till 2017, 18.
Speaker 1:Okay, and I've seen so much. I've seen so many authors that struggle. They struggle because they don't have the information. They struggle because they don't have the mindset. Okay, and one thing that I've seen authors do from time to time authors and entrepreneurs, so you don't even have to have a book for this one. I have seen authors take words and use words to destroy their income, the possibilities of what their business can do. I've seen them take words and just kind of destroy what they can possibly have.
Speaker 1:So I have some decrees that I want to read you guys today to just kind of inspire you, to get you to understand that words are very powerful. They're very powerful. The Bible is full of words. Let's just be real, it's full of words, and so I have some decrees specifically for authors. If you're an author, publisher, coach, any topic, any title in the literary space, these decrees are specifically for you. So I just want to read a couple of these to you.
Speaker 1:The first one is I decree. I am anointed to write, speak and build. Okay, I carry divine clarity, creativity and confidence. I am a messenger and my words will move people into action, healing and transformation. Now, if you need a scripture reference, Isaiah 50 and 4 would be your scripture reference for that one. Okay, these are so powerful. Y'all. I was so excited about this and I couldn't wait to share with you guys.
Speaker 1:Here's another one. I decree my voice is valuable, visible and victorious. Yes, I reject fear, comparison and delay. I rise and release my message without apology. That part, my audience is already waiting. That scripture reference is Proverbs 18 and 21. You can't tell me that's not powerful. Y'all Like period.
Speaker 1:Start using these decrees. This is what I want you to do. Start using decrees like this with these words, to speak some life into your situation. Okay, so we're not going to keep saying we can't afford to do this and we can't afford to publish and we can't afford to market the book. Yes, you can, you can't afford it because you keep saying it. Okay, and I'm going to leave you with this last one.
Speaker 1:I decree my mind is disciplined and my vision is clear. I do not second guess, I do not shrink. I take bold action toward what I see in my spirit. I am focused, fruitful and laser locked on purpose. That scripture reference would be Romans 12 and two. Now, we done had school. Okay, y'all got the lesson. Now what you're going to do with it? Change your words, change your words. Most people I see in situations now that I see clear and I change mine. The one thing that hurts you is your words, and so your book is going to be made up of words.
Speaker 1:We can't write a book without words. It's not a book without words, words we can't write a book without words. It's not a book without words. So now we can't want to write this book and want people to give us their money for it, right, but yet then we turn around and we use the negative words to talk down on how nobody's buying books.
Speaker 1:I don't know what to do. I don't know nobody this, and that you. You better get on your phone, your iPad, your laptop, whatever device you got that you paying for every month, because everybody got a phone. I don't know many people that don't have one. So you're going to get on that device and you're going to Google. You're going to use Google, you're going to use AI, and just about every website offers an AI option now. So I don't want to hear no more excuses. I don't want to hear no more excuses. I don't, but anyway.
Speaker 1:So those decrees were very powerful. I wanted to share those with you guys, and I have a whole PDF with seven of them that you can use for your entire week and start to see some things in your life change and your situation change. It may be somebody on here that's actually trying to write their book and stuck in the middle of the project. Now, why you haven't contacted me, I have no idea. Okay, go to publishwithtiffanycom and book a discovery call so we can get you going and you can be published before 2025 is over, because y'all know we are almost in June and June will be here, gone and we'll be in December. So I want you to, I want you to, um, focus on being productive and not just, you know, hearing it and saying, oh yeah, I'm a, do this and that. So you can go and you can download the PDF with all seven degrees on my website at publishwithtiffanycom.
Speaker 1:I put that together for you guys because it's so powerful and you gotta start somewhere. Y'all don't know where to start. Start with your words, okay, start with your words and change the way you think, because you have to think different in order for these words to be effective. Anyway, let's just be honest most people struggle with whatever they're dealing with because of their words. So, whether it's health, whether it's a family situation, marriage, whatever it is, it's your words, okay, so take control over that and and we're going to go to break.
Speaker 2:Any day now is what I kept telling myself. On the last mile, on the road to somewhere I put along the way, I saw the wind and the rain and, to my surprise, oh, blew my mind. So many nights. I had to hold on for my life, but I survived, I survived, I survived, I survived, I survived, I survived, I survived. Oh me, but I'm so glad, oh yeah. Now, hurt and pain was sometimes my company, separated from those no guarantees, but one thing. Separated from those no guarantees, but one thing I knew for sure I've had my share of ups and downs. I made it easy, though I've had to cry. So many nights I've had to hold on for my life. I survived, I survived, I survived, I survived, I survived, I survived, I survived, I survived. I'm so glad, I'm so glad. I know you heard this message before. I want to tell you once more it's alright, you will. I know the road you're on might seem long, but I encourage you to hold on, hold on.
Speaker 1:I do believe you will we are back and we are going to wrap up this amazing episode. This was Anthology Part 2, but we talked about some other things too that I want me to come and speak or host a publishing workshop at your church, at your organization or your event. Reach out to me at tamediacofirm at gmailcom. Okay, I'm gonna leave you with this. Speak life, write it down, publish it and sell it. See you, guys next time.
